Our Founder

Rob Jackson, a South Arkansas man with a passion for entrepreneurship, is the founder of Ujamaa Lighting. Mr. Jackson grew up in a low-income household but a high-value family. As the grandson of a pioneer for self-sufficiency and independence, Jackson knew that his business had to solve problems to succeed. He quickly recognized that the world was in serious need of diversification in the commodity goods sector, and this was a void that he could dominate.

Just as black inventor Lewis Howard Latimer vastly improved Thomas Edison’s light bulb, Ujamaa would exponentially enhance the lighting industry as a whole. With his passion for growth and his IT background, Rob Jackson dedicated himself to creating a company that would brighten the world it serves.
