If you want to know about an artist’s resume then read a bio. If you want their soul, listen to the music, but if you ever, ever, ever, ever have the gumption to find out who they are outside of the music, join one of their groups. I joined the fans of Def Jam artist Fredo’s Bang and let me tell you, they are loyal down to the gristle.
Like most private groups, to be accepted there are a series of questions that you have to answer. I was expecting to to share my favorite song or name his home town. Nah, these type of answers can’t be found on Google. Even if they could be, you don’t want those questions in your search history. Eventually, I gave up on guessing so I wrote, “I don’t know but we are interviewing him so let me in.” That worked.
I can’t share the details of the conversations that have taken place in the group, because I have witnessed how quickly they find rats and handle those types of situations. Just know that the love that these guys have for Fredo Bang is way deeper than music.
